*** PRODUCTION MANAGER - MANCHESTER - MANUFACTURING - to £42,000***

 

Our client, a leading materials manufacturer currently requires a Production Manager to join their established team in the Manchester area.

 

Reporting to the Manufacturing Director, you will be responsible for managing the production department to ensure all KPI's are met in relation to delivery, efficiency, cost, health & safety and employee performance.

 

Promoting a continual improvement culture, you will oversee processes to ensure they are undertaken in a timely and efficient manager, whilst managing budgets, contracts and purchases.

 

Further duties will include

  • Monitoring, managing, motivating and developing departmental employees to achieve performance targets and conducting performance reviews with each of them.
  • Monitor and optimise material usage, recycling or reusing materials wherever possible and minimising waste, implementing corrective actions to resolve wastage.
  • To analyse production targets identifying issues and areas for improvement.
  • Manage a number of departmental Supervisors to supervise the day to day production activities effectively.
  • Monitoring and managing Health and Safety within the department. Responsible for ensuring employees follow Health and Safety rules and procedures when at work.
  • To carry out regular audits on quality, H&S, Housekeeping and stock, coordinating with relevant departments to report and address any issues that may arise.
  • Working with the Technical department in costs analysis and sample production in relation to product development and improvement.
  • Coordinating with other managers to design and implement company policies and goals
  • Manage continual improvement through identifying key tasks and targets to be completed within agreed timescales.
  • Reporting weekly and monthly on the production of your department, projects and actions. Attending management, production and planning meetings etc, weekly and monthly as needed.

 

You will be a degree calibre candidate, with a substantial, proven track record in a managerial role within manufacturing.
