THE ROLE - Of Technical Sales Engineer

Reporting to the Technical Sales Engineering Manager you will be responsible for the North West & Yorkshire Region. The Sales Engineer objectives will be to identify and develop new business opportunities and convert these opportunities into accounts and revenue for the organisation. This new business will be combined with your objectives to deliver improved sales revenue with existing customers and maximise cross selling opportunities within the manufacturing sectors. The Sales Engineer will identify potential new clients, arrange customer visits, deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations, then follow these up with proposals and quotations. You will win this new business through successful communicating how the products meet the customer needs and how the products and services are industry leaders and how they differentiate from the competition.

THE PERSON - Suitable for Technical Sales Engineer

The Sales Engineer must have an engineering or manufacturing qualification. Ideally you will be degree qualified or of graduate calibre. Our client is looking for a Sales Engineer who has good commercial acumen on a foundation of industry experience in engineering and manufacturing. This will give you the right blend of the right technical skills and commercial skills. The Sales Engineer must be able to develop new business and be able to close. It is essential that you have good people skills and that you can build effective business relationships and influence clients. Due to the nature of a sales role it is critical that you can demonstrate good organisational skills and the ability to effectively plan your time.
