TECHNICAL / QUALITY MANAGER - BOLTON - £40,000 - £45,000 + CAR - PLASTICS / MATERIALS / CHEMICALS

OUR CLIENT REQUIRING A TECHNICAL / QUALITY MANAGER

Is a leading global manufacturer based in the Manchester area with a requirement currently for a Technical / Quality Manager. The business manufacturing process is based around a combination of materials - plastic, rubber and chemicals and therefore would be particularly attractive to a candidate with a background in these disciplines.

THE ROLE OF TECHNICAL / QUALITY MANAGER

In this key role you will support the Site Manager and manage the quality team incorporating quality / process engineering, quality systems and quality control including a laboratory. Your remit will encompass the development and implementation of continuous improvement through your quality / process engineers. These activities will be firmly planted in the application of 6 Sigma methodologies and root cause analysis (8d, 5Y, ishikawa etc) to resolve quality issues, remove process variation and reduce customer complaints. The key measures of performance will be scrap reduction, the decline of customer complaints and root cause analysis leading to permanent solutions.

THE PERSON WHO WOULD FIT THE ROLE OF TECHNICAL / QUALITY MANAGER

Applicants must be experienced Quality Manager's from within a manufacturing business (preferably plastics, rubber or other materials orientated processes), ideally with experience of quality systems (ISO 9001 and TS 16949), quality control and quality engineering (lean and problem solving skills) . It is essential that you have hands-on experience utilising some of the proven tools and techniques such as root cause analysis and as a minimum you must be a 6 Sigma green belt.

SALARY FOR THE ROLE OF TECHNICAL / QUALITY MANAGER

£40,000 - £45,000 + CAR ALLOWANCE
