***PURCHASING MANAGER - AUTOMOTIVE MANUFACTURER - LANCASHIRE - SALARY £40,000 - £50,000 + CAR + BENEFITS***

This is an excellent opportunity to join an industry leading automotive manufacturer as a Purchasing Manager in their long established site in Lancashire.

The Role
As Purchasing Manager you will head up a team of buyers and report into the Purchasing Director. You will be responsible for implementing the Purchasing strategy and will be responsible for a £150million spend. The focus will be on ensuring suppliers are providing 1best value for money based on cost, supplier quality and delivery performance. With an on-going drive to achieve world-class standards, you will be leading continuous improvement activity within your team.

The Person
You will be a degree qualified purchasing manager or possibly senior buyer ready to take the next step forward in your career. As you will be joining a major player in the automotive industry you will need to have experience of purchasing within a highly regulated, fast-paced manufacturing industry - either automotive or aerospace. Finally, the successful candidate should be a strong communicator will feel comfortable presenting information to the senior management team as well as managing a team of buyers.
