***MANUFACTURING ENGINEER - AUTOMOTIVE MANUFACTURING - LIVERPOOL - £35,000 TO £40,000***

ROLE

Reporting to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager, you will part of a team responsible for engineering all new product introductions whilst providing accurate and appropriate manufacturing engineering support. Your principle accountabilities will include:

Manufacturing Improvements to operations
Providing expert knowledge for Robotics and PLCs within the Engineering team
Contribute to the creation and development the PFMEA and Control Plan
Manufacturing Layouts
Implementing Engineering Changes
Project Managing New Model Introductions from a Production Engineering perspective
Liaising and project managing the maintenance team
Ensure compliance to ISO 14001 and 18001 standards.

PERSON

The ideal candidate MUST be educated to Degree level with previous experience of lean manufacturing, preferably within a high volume, automotive manufacturing environment. You MUST have proven manufacturing experience in automation as well as knowledge of robot and PLC programming.

Experience of ISO/TS 16949 and Q1/SIM is desirable. Candidates must be highly PC literate, have excellent organisational and communicational skills as well as a strong sense of urgency and an ability to work under pressure.

You must be a confident decision maker and proactive problem solver (8D, Six Sigma), with a hands-on approach as both an individual and as part of a team.
