Vacancy Description
The Role
Reporting to the Managing Director you will have be responsible for all assembly and warehouse operations including assembly, QC, materials, planning, goods in, picking, dispatch and stock control.
You will also take on site H&S, I.T, training and development, reconfiguration and personnel responsibility and manage effective change within the operation.
You will be instrumental in a number of urgent business changes in order to develop the warehouse and assembly operations through best practice and lean methodology.
You will ensure all daily workloads are completed in a timely and cost effective manner, whilst maintain a high standard of service for the customer.
You will be responsible for the development and implementation of key business KPI"s and then monitor performance and productivity to ensure adherence to set measures.
You will ensure compliance with H&S standards and operating policies and procedures.
The Person
You will have experience of business change and lean methodology, preferably gained through a manufacturing or JIT environment.
You will have an excellent understanding on modern warehousing and logistics, and be able to use your knowledge to identify areas for change, develop achievable plans and implement new processes and procedures.
You will be a strong people manager who is able to implement the necessary culture change for this business whilst maintaining staff morale and productivity.
You will have strong communication, man management and IT skills, have a hands on approach and lead your team by example.
