***SHIFT MANAGER - EAST YORKSHIRE - FMCG SECTOR - £38,000 - £48,000***

THE ROLE

Reporting to the Operations Director as Shift Production Manager you will have full autonomy for the management of a shift. The responsibility covers everything from, achieving production targets, materials management and storage and distribution of finished products. The main focus for the role is on increasing yields and ensuring that OTIF is driven to Word class standards. Other measures are driven through engineering ensuring that downtime and machine optimisation is maintained throughout the shift.

THE PERSON

The ideal candidate must be of degree calibre and have strong supervisory and leadership skills. The role will suit someone who is an exceptional man manager who can work and drive a team autonomously by creating a strong positive team culture which is focused on meeting targets and delivering results. It is essential that you have managed in a unionised manufacturing environment. Ideal candidates will have previous experience within an organisation utilising lean manufacturing.
