**SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGER: RETAIL SUPPLIER: MANCHESTER: £48,000 to £53,000 +BENEFITS: REPORTING TO THE HEAD OF SUPPLY CHAIN: EXCELLENT CAREER PROSPECTS**

Our Client is a rapidly expanding and successful business who have seen their profits grow in excess of 50% over the last 3 years, taking them to one of the key players within their sector both within the UK and abroad. Due to this continued success they are looking to add to their current team with this new appointment. Dealing with both B2B and ecommerce orders going straight to the consumer, this is a varied, challenging and exciting role and will provide the successful applicant with a rewarding career.

ROLE

• Based at their UK distribution site, you will manage the logistics and supply chain teams to ensure all orders are processed in an efficient and cost effective time sensitive manner whilst maintaining unparalleled customer service.
• You will manage all of the warehouse functions and management, and should have an excellent understanding of all elements of logistics and distribution.
• You will be responsible for the international freight movements, including foreign based cross dock and freight forwarding operations in Europe and Asia.
• You will manage the forecasting and demand management teams.
• You will set and review forecasts and budgets, as well as well having involvement in the key financials of the business including CAPEX projects.
• You will be involved in rate negotiations as well as new business wins and liaising closely with the customers to ensure their individual demands are met.
• You will deal with supplier non-conformance and shipping issues to ensure the continued availability of stock to meet customer requirements

EXPERIENCE

• The successful applicant will have an excellent background in logistics and supply chain Management, and be able to demonstrate a progressive career, preferably within a distribution and supplier/manufacturing environment with significant links to the high street retail sector.
• You will have experience of B2B and/or ecommerce order fulfilment
• You will have clear examples of delivering results, and achieving standards beyond those expected.
• You should be Degree qualified, commercially astute and have excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Excellent presentation, organisation and communication skills are essential, as is a comprehensive understanding of IT (in particular EDI and WMS systems), budgets and relevant legislation.
• You will have experience of dealing with international shipping and freight forwarding.
• You will be passionate and energetic in your approach, dynamic in nature, and a team player who seeks to inspire to those around you.
