**HEAD OF SUPPLY CHAIN: RETAIL SUPPLIER: MANCHESTER: £65,000 to £75,000 +BENEFITS: REPORTING TO THE FINANCE DIRECTOR: EXCELLENT CAREER PROSPECTS**

Our Client is a rapidly expanding and successful business who have seen their profits grow in excess of 50% over the last 3 years, taking them to one of the key players within their sector both within the UK and abroad. Dealing with both B2B and ecommerce orders going straight to the consumer, this is a varied, challenging and exciting role and will provide the successful applicant with a rewarding career.

ROLE

• Based at their UK distribution site, you will manage, coach and develop the supply chain and logistics teams to deliver against objectives.
• You will build strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliability and drive down lead times in order to support market needs, as well as working closely with customers to ensure their individual requirements are met and an uninterrupted and efficient service is constantly delivered.
• You will support the businesses global sourcing goals and work effectively with freight forwarding partners throughout the globe.
• You will oversee all of the UK warehouse operations and play a pivotal role in the success and development of the logistics infrastructure.
• You will set and deliver budgets and be instrument in identifying key financial savings as well as identifying investment opportunities and areas for growth.

EXPERIENCE

• The successful applicant will have an excellent background in logistics and supply chain Management at a senior / director level, and be able to demonstrate a progressive career within a distribution and supplier/manufacturing environment with significant links to the high street retail sector.
• You will have experience of B2B and/or ecommerce order fulfillment
• You will have clear examples of delivering results, and achieving standards beyond those expected.
• You will be Degree qualified and MCIPS is highly desirable. You must also be commercially astute and have excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Excellent presentation, organisation and communication skills are essential, as is a comprehensive understanding of IT (in particular EDI and WMS systems), budgets and relevant legislation.
• You will have experience of dealing with international shipping and freight forwarding.
• You will be passionate and energetic in your approach, dynamic in nature, and a team player who seeks to inspire to those around you.
