***SUPPLIER QUALITY ENGINEER - AUTOMOTIVE - WIGAN - £40,000***

COMPANY

Our client is a world-renowned manufacturer, with a fantastic reputation within their field. Due to continuing success, they are looking to expand their supplier quality team with a Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer (SQA Engineer)

ROLE

• Initiate APQP multi-functional teams.
• Co-ordinate PPAP activities at the supplier and manage into plant.
• Initiate supplier / launch readiness reviews and quality plans.
• Facilitate, prioritise, train and support in supplier corrective action meetings and reviews.
• Measure and analyse trends and performance at the supplier and the plant to reduce potential issues.
• Develop the supplier base by using Six Sigma and Lean techniques.
• Analyse and audit processes and parts.
• Complete root cause analysis programmes to plant satisfaction.

PERSON

• A working knowledge of supplier process management and controls, Production Part Approval Process, Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and supporting programmes.
• Knowledge and experience of working with TS16949 standards.
• Measurement system analysis, Statistical measurement and trend analysis aware (MSA, SPC & FMEA).
• Six Sigma awareness.
• Internal and external experience of qualification in auditing systems and capabilities.
• Skilled / experienced in root cause analysis and poka yoke.
• Confident to discuss, enforce and recommend concerns, solutions and constraints at the highest level.
• Willing to travel on a regular basis and prepared to spend time away from home.
