***DESIGN ENGINEER - HIGHLY ENGINEERED PRODUCTS - WIGAN - UP TO £40,000***

ROLE
You will generate innovative and practical design solutions using 3D CAD and FEA to develop new products and improve the existing range. Innovation is required but designs must be robust and meet the required standards and use DFM principles. You will participate in design reviews and use design verification. Liaison will be required with internal colleagues, suppliers and customers to optimise design and material selection.
Good project management skills are required to meet deadlines and timescales in light of the product development plan.

PERSON
Applicants must be Qualified to Degree level in an engineering discipline, ideally mechanical, aeronautical or structural engineering. Applicants must possess a sound knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and product design processes. You must have excellent analytical skills. It is essential that you have experience designing using 3D CAD and ideal candidates will have used FEA packages and CFD. You will also have experience of thermal insulation.
