COMPANY PROFILE FOR THE WAREHOUSE PLANNING MANAGER

Our client is leading 3PL Retail distribution operation within the North West, who are looking to recruit a Warehouse Planning Manager to join their team and thus be fundamentally responsible for ensuring an efficient planning and delivery process of their warehouse workforce. THE ROLE FOR THE WAREHOUSE PLANNING MANAGER

• You will be responsible for planning all resource within the warehouse operation to ensure daily schedules are met and customer KPI's are delivered.
• This is a slightly unusual role, combining inventory management, resource/staff allocation and transport planning.
• Develop system solutions and upgrades in relation to the warehouse management system in order to enhance processes.
• You will monitor stock and staffing levels and using forecasting tools coupled with maintaining a close working relationship with the clients, you will manage dedicated and shared resource to set and deliver the daily plan in a timely and cost efficient manner.
• You will provide targets and feedback for shift meetings and other managers, as well as present key data to the clients.
• You will be responsible for devising strategic staffing plans for agency requirements, training, recruitment and deployment. Ensure H&S is compliance and most importantly create a team culture to ensure your staff and colleagues feel valued and enjoy their roles.

THE IDEAL PERSON FOR THE WAREHOUSE PLANNING MANAGER

• You must have experience working within a similar role of warehouse planning and ideally within a FMCG environment.
• Exceptional knowledge and understanding of warehouse systems and procedures.
• You will be very well organised and highly analytical, financially astute, have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• You must have experience of computerised routing and scheduling systems, and so the successful applicant will have experience of both warehouse operations and transport scheduling.
• You must be very customer facing, with strong man management skills and have the ability to liaise with personnel at all levels.
