***QUALITY ENGINEER - AUTOMOTIVE MANUFACTURING - PRESTON - C. £33,000***


ROLE

Supporting the Quality Manager, your key responsibilities are establishing, implementing and maintaining the Quality Management System (QMS) and to Support manufacturing to drive continual improvement activities to enhance the quality system, e.g. 5S, Lean, Kaizen and Six Sigma techniques. You will work with operational management teams and champion standard procedures, 5S, product quality, H&S, and other continuous improvement activities.



PERSON

You will be certified to HND level with previous experience of quality within a high volume, automotive manufacturing environment.

A good understanding of problem solving tools (8D, PPS, etc.) and six sigma methodologies is also necessary.

Also, you will have Supplier, Customer, Internal and External Quality and Environmental audit experience. Candidates must be PC literate, have excellent organisational and communicational skills as well as a strong sense of urgency and an ability to work under pressure. They must be confident decision makers and proactive problem solvers, with a hands-on approach.
