A work life balance is something everybody aims to achieve; most people raise an eyebrow to suggest that a balance of work and life is possible in recruitment. However they are wrong.
When I first started working in recruitment the first reaction I got is you will be working long hours and don’t get me wrong you don’t always leave the office on time everyday but who does? People presume the saying ‘work life balance’ means working less, but it means working smarter.
Core Talent encourage you to work hard but also smart, this allows you to have that ‘work life balance’ without even questioning if you have one.
As a team we are always going on social events whether it is out for drinks or out for team building events.
My work life balance includes photography; I have always had a passion for photography from a young age, still now I like to integrate photography into my life whether it is on my lunch at work and visiting Manchester’s buildings or visiting the art gallery on a weekend.
The Tent of Darius instillation by Risham Syed, exhibition caught my eye in the Manchester Art Gallery.
On the one hand, they symbolize the imperial power, but on the other hand, there is another aspect to this work; how soldiers from the colonies were made to fight for the Imperial powers.
Contrasting against the wall, I love the symbolism behind this how powerful the coats are and their beautiful embroidery.
“Balance is not something you find, it's something you create”
