Rachael Hart - Consultant

My Background:After graduating in textiles, I went on to work in Sales for a leading UK Company. After 6 months I was approached about recruitment and found out how much money you can make. Within 2 weeks I had several interviews lined up across different Recruitment companies in Manchester. I chose Core Talent and I haven’t looked back since. My Role:I now specialise in recruiting for Quality, HSE, Projects and CI roles across Automotive & Rail. It’s been a tough 12 months with Brexit and site closures, however we have brought in a lot of new businesses which hasn’t stopped us making money as a team.My Progress:I was promoted after 7 months of joining the business from Trainee to Recruitment Consultant. The training and help from colleagues has helped me massively. The best things: Definitely the people/ social side. Having work drinks every Friday and a night out every month was a huge selling point to me. Especially as you spend more time with your work colleagues than your friends and family at home.I also love the fact that you are not micro managed. Managers are here to help when you need it but they trust you to crack on and get your work doneBest compliment: ‘A breath of fresh air, I appreciate your honest, no nonsense approach.’Best advice:Recruitment is like building your own business within a business. If you are prepared to work hard and put the effort in, you will soon see results. Why Core Talent?:The location – you are surrounded by shops/ food & Bars – what more could you wantIt’s a very social office. We go out for drinks on a weekly basis, we have bigger nights once a monthWe have been shortlisted for the best Engineering & Manufacturing recruitment business for the past 2 yearsIt’s not a big corporate business.  Why be a small fish in a big pond when you can be a big fish in a small pond. They look after their employees. Core Talent is growing – you are only going to grow with the business too.

My Background:

After graduating in textiles, I went on to work in Sales for a leading UK Company. After 6 months I was approached about recruitment and found out how much money you can make. Within 2 weeks I had several interviews lined up across different Recruitment companies in Manchester. I chose Core Talent and I haven’t looked back since.

My Role:

I now specialise in recruiting for Quality, HSE, Projects and CI roles across Automotive & Rail. It’s been a tough 12 months with Brexit and site closures, however we have brought in a lot of new businesses which hasn’t stopped us making money as a team.

My Progress:

I was promoted after 7 months of joining the business from Trainee to Recruitment Consultant. The training and help from colleagues has helped me massively.

The best things:

Definitely the people/ social side. Having work drinks every Friday and a night out every month was a huge selling point to me. Especially as you spend more time with your work colleagues than your friends and family at home.

I also love the fact that you are not micro managed. Managers are here to help when you need it but they trust you to crack on and get your work done

Best compliment:

‘A breath of fresh air, I appreciate your honest, no nonsense approach.’

Best advice:

Recruitment is like building your own business within a business. If you are prepared to work hard and put the effort in, you will soon see results.

Why Core Talent?:

  1. The location – you are surrounded by shops/ food & Bars – what more could you want

  2. It’s a very social office. We go out for drinks on a weekly basis, we have bigger nights once a month

  3. We have been shortlisted for the best Engineering & Manufacturing recruitment business for the past 2 years

  4. It’s not a big corporate business.  Why be a small fish in a big pond when you can be a big fish in a small pond.

  5. They look after their employees. Core Talent is growing – you are only going to grow with the business too.
