We asked Joanne about her thoughts and experiences. 'I enjoy employing apprentices; it allows them to learn and earn while gaining valuable transferable skills.Apprentices bring so much to the business, ideas, and ways of working; it's all been beneficial. I relish seeing them grow in confidence, develop working relationships, and get promoted to other business areas.'What advice would I give anyone thinking of doing an apprenticeship? 'If you are considering an apprenticeship, Speak to as many people who have experienced it. Learning isn't always about pen and paper or teacher and student. Once you get into your new working environment, there are many learning opportunities every day. Make the most of these and take the time to ask questions. When interviewing apprentices,  I look for the right attitude above everything.
