Stress/ Analysis Engineer

The Role

Already an Analysis or Stress Engineer and looking for a new role? I am currently working with a globally recognised Aerospace/Defence Manufacturer in the South, who is recruiting an Analysis Engineer to join their team. Reporting in to the Analysis leader this role will work across the full product portfolio undertaking complex analysis. Also involved:

  • Supporting both lab and field trials

  • Environmental engineering

  • Provide key technical focal point for all stages of the product lifecycle

  • Requirements specification and management

  • Data analysis

  • Simulation and modelling

  • Testing in climatic, mechanical (vibration and shock), structural mechanical and fatigue

  • Apply specialist technical knowledge and provide advice to projects

  • Responsibility for delivery of technical aspects of data analysis activities

  • Act as a technical interface with customers in the delivery of data analysis tasks or technical work packages

  • Data gathering trials and assessment

  • Platform integration activities

  • Evaluation of technical options and prepare reports

  • Suggested recommendations to support the resolution of problems attributed to shock and vibration

  • Improvement of engineering capability

  • Develop test specifications and carry out activities related to vibration, shock and signal analysis in line with all technical and quality standards

  • Plan, deliver and monitor assigned work packages

  • Make engineering decisions and delegated authority

  • Effectively deal with multiple issues, tasks and priorities concurrently, cross-projects

  • Customer facing

  • Acting as a technical consultant to the wider department

  • Providing training in areas of expertise

  • Contributing to strategy

The Person

ESSENTIAL

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or a related discipline

  • Strong technical background in environmental, mechanical or similar discipline

  • 5+ years' experience of analysing mechanical and/or hydraulic products

  • Instrumentation, Signal processing and complex analysis experience preferable

  • A good understanding of Reliability, Stress and Performance analysis

  • Excellent Analysis and presentation skills

  • Influencing and interpersonal skills

  • Written and communication skills

  • Results driven

DESIRABLE

  • Experience of Complex vibration, shock and thermal analysis preferable
