We are currently looking for a dynamic and career focused Applications Engineer for one of the UK's leading Engineering businesses.

ROLE

Reporting directly to the Technical Manager, the Applications Engineer will be an integral member of the team, working with key Blue Chip customers. This role plays a key role in solution derivation , product selection, design specification and providing cross functional support to a number of other departments including, Sales, Design and Manufacturing.

• Review customer specific requirements including project specifications to identify understand the key deliverables and offer a suitable solution.
• Responsible for compiling technical tenders, financial costing and compliance to global standards and EU regulations.
• Have an in depth understanding of the extensive range of products offered, including factored in items such as instrumentation, valves, pressure vessels, pumps and motors.
• Take charge of aspects of technical project management following receipt of order in a cross functional role

PERSON

The Engineer will need to be a career driven professional with an ambition to further themselves. You will also be a strong team player. Key criteria for the Application Engineer role will be as follows;

• Minimum 2 years+ experience in an Applications/ project engineering role (or similar)
• Essential you have recent experience in precision engineering environments
• Excellent communication skills
• Track record of success working to tight deadlines
• Educated to HND level or above in a relevant engineering discipline
