Superb opportunity!! Our client is on the lookout for a dynamic Business Development Manager to join their fast growing team at their Head office based in the Manchester area! The business design and manufacture bespoke Engineered product to blue chip customers on a global scale

The Role

The role of Business Development Manager will report directly to the head of sales and involve having a thorough understanding of the company's key products and what the best technical fit would be for a client's needs. You will be seeking new business opportunities and be developing clients and accounts. Duties for the Business Development Manager will include;

  • Ongoing development and ensuring success with new and existing clients
  • Technical assistance in the submission of bids, tenders etc
  • Create sales strategy that is aligned to the wider business growth
  • Work closely with customers in the UK & Europe, helping them to better understand the organisations processes for smoother sales
  • Liaise with clients to identify opportunities for technical support to their business and be fully conversant with the design capabilities, technical innovations, operational processes and procedures and where these add value
  • As Business Development Manager, develop new business leads and network within the sector to develop business relationships

The Person

The ideal Business Development Manager will fit the following-

  • 2 years+ experience in a technical sales position
  • Background within a engineering industry is ideal (such as Mechanical or electrical engineering/ automotive/ aerospace)
  • Direct Sales Experience
  • Experience in preparing costs and technical specification
  • Willingness to travel internationally, when necessary, may be required
  • Great future potential development opportunities for the correct candidate.
