Buyer / Contract / Sheffield

We are currently looking for an Interim Buyer for an engineering client in Sheffield. Our client are recognised as leaders in their field and have a very impressive portfolio of customers across their market. Due to unprecedented growth of the business, they are now looking to hire an Interim Buyer for an initial period of 2 months (Likely to be extended thereafter).

THE ROLE:
Reporting directly to a Project Manager, you will be involved in the every day purchasing activities. Working with the wider design team you will be working directly with designers and would be involved with sourcing valves, pumps, heat exchangers and vessels.

THE PERSON:
This role is ideally suited to a Buyer that has worked in technical manufacturing environment and ideally someone who can read engineering drawings. On top of having strong communication and supplier management skills, key experiences will include;

* Ability to read and translate Engineering drawings and documentation
* Exposure and experience in global and diverse manufacturing and assembly environments
* Ideally have experience of Direct and Indirect sourcing
