  • CNC Maintenance Engineer - Aerospace

The role:

You will be required to take preventative and reactive maintenance and carry out machine installs, equipment and plant maintenance.


Responsibilities

  • You will do daily checks on plant & machinery and recording data in log to ensure that they are fit for purpose

  • You will ensure that contract servicing of essential machinery is in place and carried out according to the service schedules

  • You will undertake routine servicing of equipment / machinery according to the preventative maintenance schedules

  • You will need to acquire correct spare parts for machinery and equipment when needed

  • Also, the role will need you to develop and train other members within team and to train operators on correct start-up and shutdown procedures for all machinery

Qualifications

  • Time served recognised engineering background with a minimum of City and Guilds, ONC, HNC, NVQ in electrical/ mechanical engineering, hydraulic or numatic quals.

  • Crane, FLT, Sling and cherry picker licenses desirable but not essential.

Experience:

  • 5 years' experience in maintenance within a CNC machining environment.

  • Aerospace industry experience

  • Detailed knowledge of other maintenance activity such as electrical and plumbing, hydraulics, pneumatics etc.

  • Knowledge of relevant HS&E legislation

  • Knowledge of Siemens and Fanuc controlled machines

  • Read and understand electrical and mechanical drawings
