Reporting into the Operations manager the Continuous Improvement Leader will ensure the business are focused on continuous improvement and both facilitate and lead World Class Manufacturing (WCM) implementation

  • Support WCM events and liaise effectively with internal / external teams and facilities

  • Implement training, coaching, mentoring, energising the team

  • Strive to eliminate waste, reduce lead time, improve customer satisfaction, and increase market share

  • Deliver progress updates and reports to Senior Management team

  • Recommend approaches to improve a company's machines, products and processes.

  • Provide coaching/mentoring/training (or arrange for) to all levels of the plant

  • Manage & lead improvement events and activities

  • Process plans- Layouts, work flows

  • Be a positive role model for WCM and effectively support improvements within the plant

  • To be flexible and able to undertake various tasks as an extra resource if and when required.


Based out of the Liverpool site, the ideal Continuous Improvement Leader will have the following skills and experience;


  • Automotive manufacturing experience
  • Six sigma green belt or above
  • 3 years in a manufacturing environment in an engineering, lean manufacturing.
  • Process improvement /projects experience
  • Lean/CI background
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Develop and grow WCM culture within the plant
  • Strong training/coaching and motivational skills
  • Previous implementation of Kan Ban, SMED, Single piece flow, 7 wastes, 5S
  • Good problem solving skills
  • Good analytical skills with an ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Good planning and organisational skills are essential


  • Engineering Degree or equivalent / HNC
  • Demonstrate supervisory/managerial skills, including planning, leading, delegating within an manufacturing environment
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing Software
  • Six sigma certified


The company manufacture a high volume for the Automotive OEMs and are major players in their niche. They are looking to develop the lean and WCM project so this is the perfect time to join. The company are a tier one supplier. This role is based in Liverpool.
