We are currently looking for a Continuous Improvement Engineer for a company who supply industrial products to a wide range of customers across the world. This is a unique opportunity that will provide the role holder an opportunity to make a real impact in the company's performance.

The role

The continuous improvement engineer will be responsible for coordination and support improvement activities in manufacturing areas and improvements across the plant. Your main responsibilities will include:

• Drive improvement activities which are aimed at removing non-value added processes and waste

• Co-ordinate the plant process activites for waste and productivity

• Oversee the supervision team so shop floor management is implemented

• Drive the manufacturing team to deliver CI projects by creating structured plans implementing new ideas and improvements

• Develop positive working relationships

• Promote new thinking in the organisation

• Identify cost reduction opportunities to help with long term improvement

The Person

• Experience working in Production, within a fast paced manufacturing environment

• Worked to team leader/ supervisory level

• Highly self-motivated

• Comfortable user of IT/ systems

• Experience of using CI tools such as FMEA, SMED and 5s
