Continuous Improvement Leader





Reporting into the Ops Director you will support this journey be involved in the following:

  • Establish a Continuous Improvement culture through the deployment of the businesses Operating System

  • Develop and roll out a business transformation plan that provides delivery of goals

  • Focus on Safety, Quality, Cost, Productivity, Output, Cycle reduction and Inventory Reduction

  • Lead projects, utilising Kaizen, Lean and Six Sigma tools to drive improvements

  • Develop appropriate operations Lean Strategy

  • Identify and drive improvements by evaluating methods measurement & analysis

  • Drive site wide change to improve performance

  • Manage the continuous improvement roadmap

  • Create a visual workplace

  • Consults and collaborates with the leadership team to ensure all lean, workshops, classes and tools and methods are being used effectively

  • Short term, mid-term and long term wins

  • Coach and develop a problem solving culture at all levels of the business

  • Implement permanent corrective plans

  • Introduce a continuous improvement team to the business by designating key heads & train/develop

  • Skills to roll out include: Lean, 6-Sigma, Problem Solving, APQP, PPAP etc.

  • Create an ongoing training structure across all levels in the business


Based out of their Gloucester site, the ideal Continuous Improvement leader will have the following skills and experience;

  • Certified in six sigma or lean qualification

  • 5+ years of leadership operations experience

  • Experience leading, coaching and implementing CI

  • Working knowledge of Sales Inventory and Ops planning

  • Past experience of managing cross functional teams

  • Previous presentation experience is essential - across all levels of the business

  • Project management experience

  • Must be data driven and results oriented

  • Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal communication skills and organization skills

  • Must be proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, and various analysis tools

  • Dynamic, self-motivated and results oriented team player able to build good working relationships and work under pressure and to deadlines

  • Needs to have driving licence as role will require travel around the UK sites


  • Degree strongly preferred in engineering, manufacturing or similar training
