Continuous Improvement Leader

We are currently looking to recruit a Continuous Improvement Leader for our client business based in Blackburn. The company is currently going through a period of growth due to new orders and are major players in their niche. They are looking to develop their CI strategy so this is the perfect time to join.

THE ROLE:

Reporting into the Site Director you will support this journey be involved in the following:

  • Establishing a Continuous Improvement culture

  • Develop and roll out a business transformation plan that provides delivery of goals

  • Lead projects, utilising Kaizen, Lean and Six Sigma tools to drive improvements

  • Develop appropriate operations Lean Strategy

  • Identify and drive improvements by evaluating methods measurement & analysis

  • Coach and develop a problem solving culture at all levels of the business

  • Implement permanent corrective plans

  • Introduce a continuous improvement team to the business by designating key heads & train/develop

  • Skills to roll out include: Lean, 6-Sigma, Problem Solving, APQP, PPAP etc.

  • Create an ongoing training structure across all levels in the business

THE PERSON

Based out of their site in Blackburn, the ideal Continuous Improvement Leader will have the following skills and experience;

  • Certified in six sigma or lean qualification

  • 5+ years' experience working within CI in a manufacturing environment

  • Experience leading, coaching and implementing CI

  • Project management experience

  • Must be data driven and results oriented

  • Degree strongly preferred in engineering, manufacturing or similar training - desirable
