LEAN/ CONTINUOUS EMPLOYMENT MANAGER

COVENTRY / BIRMINGHAM / REDDITCH

£90,0000 + CAR ALLOWANCE + BENEFITS

A Global Engineering business supplying high volume precision components to an array of dominant industries inclusive but not exhaustive to Oil & Gas, Automotive & Aerospace.

The Role:

Reporting to the business Improvement Director.

Implement lean through training, coaching, mentoring, energising the team

Rolling out a company wide Kaizan stratergy

Become a global influencer for the lean deployment of the group

Strive to eliminate waste, reduce lead time, improve customer satisfaction, and increase market share

Coordinate lean events

To manage the systems which ensure the safety of everyone in the business

Deliver sizeable growth opportunities whilst making the most of the existing resources

Upkeep of implemented lean systems and tools

Provide coaching/mentoring/training (or arrange for) to all levels of the plant on the use and practice of Lean Methodology and tools

Maintain portfolio of lean business projects and initiatives and drive prioritisation, timing, and sequencing based on targeted objectives

Implementation on the businesses job training system

Lean system implementation audits (5S, Kaizen, SOT's and 4-step job instruction)

The Person

A personable, expereinced manager ready to take on a group level role.

Essential

5 Years Lean/CI Expereince at Managment level

Career driven & ambitios.

Strong leader & influencer

Engineering background - any industry.

Desirable

Engineering Degree (Industrial Engineer/Mechanical Engineer) or equivalent

Industrial engineering experience including: takt time, time study, line balancing, SPC

Experience with Lean Manufacturing Software
