The Continuous Improvement Manager will drive a step change in collective CI capability by initiating, leading and co-ordinating site wide improvement activities utilising the most appropriate lean tools and techniques. Responsibilities will include:

  • Advise on the use of appropriate lean tools

  • Coach / mentor CI Engineers

  • Lead Value Stream Mapping events & coordinate teams to identify waste and improve material flow

  • Kaizen events

  • Eliminate waste and drive productivity

  • Track and report on improvement plans

  • Engage with and support the wider CI group to ensure best practice

  • Analyse and identify opportunities for efficiency improvement and waste reduction

  • Deliver projects on time and within budget

  • Any other duties as reasonably requested by the employer

THE PERSON: Based out of their Birmingham site, the ideal CI Lead will have the following skills and experience;


  • 4+ years in Continuous Improvement

  • Process flow and Value Stream Mapping for material flow

  • Manufacturing background

  • Dynamic, self-motivated and results oriented team player able to build good working relationships and work under pressure and to deadlines

  • Proven experience in leading Lean/CI projects and events to eliminate waste

  • Experience with KAIZEN

  • Experience leading a team

  • Six Sigma Green belt/ Black belt

They are looking to develop the lean and six sigma throughout the plant so this is the perfect time to join and be part of a fantastic global lean and six sigma. The long term goal to develop this department and be part of the team as this grows.
