£45- £55 p/hour

Exciting new opportunity!! A key client is looking for a skilled Mechanical design engineer to help with an exciting new products launch they have. The role will offer hybrid working flexibility and be expected to spend 1-2 days on site, with the rest of time being spent working from home.

The Role

• Designing products from concept based on the requirements of customer
• Specification components to develop systems in line with project requirements
• Developing technical plans based on research ideas
• Carrying out surveys on equipment and various mechanical systems
• Presenting design plans to Managers and clients
• Producing technical documents that the company requires
• Conducting product testing
• Developing CAD project drawings and reviewing drawings from junior team members for accuracy

The Person

The ideal Design Engineer will have a background working with a range of materials and processes from cradle to grave, ideally plastics and/ or injection moulding.

• Experienced mechanical design engineer- key experience Plastics/ Injection moulding processes would be beneficial
• Must be a competent user of Creo
• Capable of presenting engineering solutions to the wider team
• Ability to hit the ground running
