Aerospace Operations Manager
Location : Gloucester
Contract: 6 months
Reporting in to the GM, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations within the site.
Working in partnership with the Operations Manager in Customer Service, you will utilize your experience or expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and effect short-term and long-term business goals.
Provide leadership in the attainment of goals with respect to safety, quality, cost, production and compliance
Coach and provide direction
Direct process and product improvement programs and provide process improvement
Lead the achievement of goals in asset utilisation, process/manufacturing loss improvement, delivered quality, production planning, inventory control and cost reduction
Ensure communication of key business and customer issues to employees
Direct the manufacturing of production and development of hardware
Responsible for meeting all established cost, quality, and delivery commitments.
At least 5 years of experience in a aerospace manufacturing shop leadership position
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Strong influencing, problem solving and analytical skills
Demonstrated experience of implementation and development of a lean culture
Knowledge of the disciplines of manufacturing management such as production and inventory control, and standard cost systems
