Position Overview:

As a Cost Manager, you will play a crucial role in the financial success of our data center projects. You will be responsible for managing and controlling project costs, ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on state-of-the-art data center projects in a collaborative and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Cost Estimation: Develop accurate cost estimates for data center projects from the conceptual phase through to completion, considering materials, labor, equipment, and other relevant factors.

  2. Budget Management: Work closely with project teams to establish and manage project budgets, tracking expenditures and ensuring financial goals are met.

  3. Cost Control: Implement effective cost control measures to identify and mitigate potential cost overruns, providing recommendations to optimize project financial performance.

  4. Vendor Management: Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to negotiate favorable terms, monitor contract compliance, and identify opportunities for cost savings.

  5. Financial Reporting: Prepare regular financial reports detailing project costs, variances, and forecasting for internal and external stakeholders.

  6. Risk Management: Identify and assess potential risks related to project costs, developing strategies to minimize their impact on the project's financial success.

  7. Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination regarding cost-related matters.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Cost Manager in the construction industry, with a focus on data center projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction costs, project budgeting, and financial management.
  • Proficiency in cost estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
