Position: Design Engineer

Location: Northern Dublin

Salary: €45,000 - €55,000

This business is committed to contributing to a carbon-neutral environment, consistently striving to design and manufacture the most energy-efficient facade solution. Now looking to enhance the current in-house design capabilities they are looking for a design engineer.

The Roles & Responsibilities:

• Develop precast concrete cladding systems, units, and fixings through effective design.

• Collaborate with the Production and Installation Teams to ensure designs are optimized for real-world conditions.

• Handle concept and detail design tasks.

• Prepare calculations and review drawings.

• Report to a Senior Structural Engineer.

• Occasional travel between Ireland and the UK may be necessary.

A Successful Profile:

• The candidate should have a minimum of 4 years of experience in engineering design.

• Demonstrated ambition to become a Chartered Engineer.

• Strong analytical and numerical skills.

• Ability to work independently and take initiative in a fast-paced environment.

• Proficiency in designing concrete structures according to Eurocodes.

• Familiarity with Irish/UK Building Regulations.

• Experience in using design software such as Structural Engineering Design Packages, AutoCAD, Tekla, Revit, SketchUp, Excel, etc.

Educational Requirements:

• Civil or Structural Engineering degree or equivalent.
