Our key client, an industry leading manufacturer of air filtration equipment, are recruiting for a career driven Electrical Design engineer to join their highly skilled Team at their brand new facility in the Bolton area (Greater Manchester). The role has fantastic scope for progression with structured training and development programmes available as well!

THE ROLE

The role will take the lead in the design and development of the business critical product range and will focus in particular on the development of processes and the electrical controls and instrument requirements. You will also be providing technical support to other areas of the business as required. Key duties in this Electrical Design Engineer role will be as follows;

• Provide design and technical input into tenders / estimates

• Meet key design milestones for project delivery and tender preparation

• Maintain standardisation of design - developing modular frameworks for the entire product range

• Be proactive in the EC&I product development taking ideas to the Engineering design manager for evaluation and approval

• Review and streamline processes aiming to increase efficiency and reduce cost without loss of quality and functionality

• Able to write FDS, P&ID's and input into FAT and SAT protocols.

THE PERSON

The ideal EC&I Design Engineer will be driven and a strong team player. Key criteria for the position will be as follows;

• 2 years+ experience in an Electrical/ EC&I design engineer role, or similar

• Have a minimum educational OND in Electrical Engineering

• Good track record in EC&I product and process design

• Fully conversant with latest engineering design concepts, engineering standards and disciplines

• Understanding of health and safety legislation

• Fully experience/trained in AutoCAD for production of electrical schematics and process drawings
