I am recruiting for a EHS Manager to join a global leader in speciality chemicals that is based in Cheshire offering a competitive salary and great benefits.
This role is reporting directly into the Operations Manager and has a functional reporting line into the Divisional Head of EHS in Germany. You will be responsible to ensure that all day to day operations are carried out to EHS standards, managing and developing ISO14001 and OHSAS 18001 management systems.
Duties and Responsibilities
Owning, managing and continuing to develop the site's ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 (transitioning to ISO 45001) and development towards other standards e.g. ISO 50001.
Take a lead in all EHS legislative and regulatory matters, liaising as the primary contact with external bodies such as HSE and EA as required.
Ensuring regulatory compliance is maintained at all times.
Establishing EHS process industry best practice on site by having regular links with key stakeholders
Leading site wide cultural development and behavioural change initiatives to ensure EHS performance continues to move forward
Role model the behaviours expected from a leader and manager in a process industry
NEBOSH Diploma or working towards it
Chartered IOSH member (CMIOSH) or working towards it
Experience of working in a EHS management role within a process manufacturing environment
Strong knowledge of EHS management systems , current & future EHS legislation
