Exciting new opportunity!! We are currently looking for a career driven Electrical Design Engineer for a rapidly expanding, industry leading engineering business based in Birmingham. The Role

Reporting directly to the head of Engineering for the business, the Electrical Design Engineer will be working on high value projects within state-of-the art process automation, robotics, and test systems within the logistics, automotive, aerospace and manufacturing industries. You will have design influence and the scope of the job will be varied covering widely different requirements. Key duties for the Electrical Design Engineer will include;

• Generate proposal / specification documents
• Support customer review meetings and provide on-site support as required
• Produce technical drawings, schematics, and IO assignments for manufacturing
• Review designs and produce accurate BOM's
• Validate designs to ensure all requirements have been achieved
• Ensure that all designs perform to best practice technology standards and are not over engineered for customer applications
• As Electrical Design Engineer, assist and support the manufacturing team during the builds ensuring a smooth build on equipment

The Person

The ideal Electrical Design Engineer will be a strong and committed team player. The business are looking for career driven engineers who fit the following criteria;

• Educated to HNC or above in relevant engineering discipline
• Minimum 2 years+ electrical design experience in engineering environment
• bespoke equipment building would be ideal
• Experience in EPlan preferred (but other software packages could be considered)
• Strong Team player
