Our client is a rapidly growing international design engineering solutions specialist, operating across the European region on data centre construction projects. We are partnered with them to support the recruitment of a Design Manager with data centre experience and technical expertise in all areas of electrical engineering to take a leadership position within their business.

This person will be the primary technical point of contact for clients in the Nordic region, this is a highly client facing role with the below core responsibilities:

• Act as the primary technical point of contact clients, building relationships with key stakeholders to create a partnership way of working

• Understand the needs of key clients, and take a innovative solutions based approach to providing bespoke solutions

• Develop and execute a comprehensive technical strategy that aligns with the company's vision and objective

• Work with clients to clarify requirements, agree timelines and drive internal resources to achieve all set tasks and timelines

• Oversee and coordinate the design team and project planning, execution and delivery of projects across the region ensuring quality standards and budgets are met

• Stay up to date with current technologies within the field, evaluating their applicability and potential integration into our solutions

• Use technical expertise to review and advising electrical design work as necessary

• Establish and enforce rigorous quality control processes and best practices to maintain the highest level of technical excellence in projects

• Collaborate closely with several teams, including, resource management, recruitment, procurement to ensure alignment with overall business goals

• Lead a team of electrical engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, excellence, and continuous learning

• Lead meetings with authority, pushing back on stakeholders when necessary

• Project Management - the ability to drive the team forward to hit deadlines

Qualifications and Skills Required to be considered:

• Over 10 years' experience in Electrical Engineering / Construction industry required

• Electrical engineering degree or similar qualification that leads to outstanding knowledge of electrical engineering fundamentals

• Proven track record of technical leadership and innovation

• In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, components, and advanced technologies within the Data Center sector

• Strong project management skills, with a history of successfully leading and delivering complex engineering projects

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams

• Significant leadership experience in operations or programme management e.g. delivering complex major projects or programmes from start to finish

• Knowledge of Norwegian engineering standards

• A strategic thinker with a keen focus on business objectives and outcomes
