We are currently looking for an Electrical Engineer for a global manufacturer of hydrogen power solutions to customers across the world. They are going through a significant period of growth at their South Yorkshire facility and are looking for a career driven engineers to join their skilled team.
The Role
Working alongside the EC&I team the electrical engineer will be responsible for supporting the team in multiple tasks and in a variety of projects and applications. The main responsibilities will include:
Electrical Installation Design (tray work/ ducting/equipment installation arrangements); previous experience in EPC advantageous
Generate schematics and single line diagrams design
Review Client and Supplier specs
Creating equipment specifications, calculation sheets and manuals
Creating Bills of Material/equipment lists
Carrying out cable calculations
Wiring Diagrams & cable schedule
Electrical load schedule
Motor Control Centre Specifications
The Person
Degree or HND/HNC in a relevant discipline - Electrical Engineering
3 years experience within a Design Engineering Environment
Knowledge of UK Wiring regulations
Keen understanding of British Standards within Electrical Engineering
Basic understanding of IEC Standards and 'Explosive atmospheres'
Proven history within a design engineering background.
Knowledge of electrical installation design.
Knowledge of wiring and schematics.
Some knowledge of grid connection, HV requirements and design is also preferred.
Knowledge of protection and coordination desirable.
Knowledge of rectifier units, DC power, UPS systems and Power Electronics desirable.
Knowledge of EMC requirements and standards desirable.
