We are currently looking for a skilled Electrical Engineer for a prestigious Automotive business based in the Birmingham area, paying £35,000 and are looking to bring someone into their successful maintenance engineering team immediately.

Your role as a Electrical Engineer will include:

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager you will be part of a team running the control operation. Key responsibilities for the role will include;

  • To ensure the safe, reliable operation of all plant and equipment.

  • Completing planned preventative maintenance, investigating & resolving equipment issues.

  • Lead CI activities.

  • Process improvements.

  • Developing and maintaining data collection and visualisation systems to support data-driven decision making and problem solving.

  • Provide technical support to maintenance technicians as required.

  • Lead departmental training and development activities.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Based out of the Birmingham office, the ideal Electrical Engineer will have the following skills and experience; Multi skilled or electrical maintenance in fast paced JIT environment.

  • Multi skilled or electrical maintenance in fast paced JIT environment.

  • Frequent use of PLC software to diagnose problems.

  • Occasional PLC program modifications.

Essentials:

  • Diagnosis of complex problems on automatic and semi-automatic machinery using PLC software and electrical wiring diagrams.

  • Design and implementation of minor PLC changes in Ladder Logic and SFC.

  • Industrial data networking (Ethernet, Profibus).

  • Automated shopfloor data collection technologies.

  • Awareness of applicable H&S including safety circuits & PLCs.
