Electronics Engineer

Industry Leading Engineering Business (Sensor Technology)

£45,000- £55,000+ Benefits & Hybrid working

We are currently looking for a dynamic, career driven Electronics Engineer for an industry leading Engineering business who design specialist laser based detection equipment used across a range of industries. They are going through a significant period of growth and are looking for career driven engineers to join their skilled team.

The Role

Reporting to the head of Engineering, this role will centre around working on key projects alongside the wider, high performing engineering team. Key accountabilities in the role will be to;

  • Support the day to day operations of the Product Development Team on business critical projects
  • Act as a mentor and provide oversight, coaching and training to junior members of the team
  • Ensuring that support is provided to operations when problems arise for both internal and external customer
  • Manage and report on all incoming product support queries and product maintenance tasks
  • Monitor team performance and report on metrics such as budget and deadlines
  • Ensuring that all customer inquiries and issues are solved in a timely manner
  • Carry out product maintenance to improve production efficiency and address build issues

The Person

The ideal Engineer will be career driven and have a strong team focus. Key attributes for the role will be as follows;

  • Experience in product development engineering role or similar (NPD/ NPI engineering for example)
  • Computer-literate and a confident user of Microsoft Office applications
  • Have knowledge of related engineering disciplines (e.g. mechanical engineering, production engineering and electrical/ electronic engineering) with ability to read and understand electronic schematics, wiring schedules and mechanical part / assembly drawings
  • Knowledge of various manufacturing processes and assembly techniques
  • Degree in mathematical/science/engineering or demonstrably equivalent through work experience
