Embedded Software Engineer

Fully Remote

6 Month Minimum Contract

I am working on an Embedded Software Engineering role for one of the UK's biggest and most innovative companies. You'll be working initially on a 6 month contract with an opportunity for extension.

You will be able to work fully remotely, interacting the team via Microsoft Teams. You may be required to complete an initial site visit within the first week of your contract.

What will you do?

The successful Embedded Software Engineer will be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of C/C++ in a real-time embedded environment. They will also have past experience producing robust, high quality code.

You will be working as part of a rapidly growing team with huge ambitions and a BIG focus on customer service and the end product!

What will you need?

• Excellent past record of coding in C and C++

• Broad experience, large consumer electronics companies or start ups

• A passion to develop and learn new skills

• A strong interest in software and hardware

• Experience with ESP32

• Experience with RTOS

• Be able to work to strict deadlines

• Experience with Bluetooth and WIFI

What does the Ideal person look like?

• The ideal Embedded Software Engineer will have the following skills and experience:

• Graduate in a relevant degree

• Track record of a minimum of 5 years C++

• Excellent decision making skills with an ability to solve complex issues

• Analytical skills with an ability to communicate effectively, both written and oral

• Advantageous skills - Rust, Zigbee, Linux

• Show recent learning and development outside of work
