Embedded Software Engineer

We are currently looking to recruit an Embedded Software Engineer on behalf of an Aerospace & Defence Company in the Brighton Area.

They are looking for an enthusiastic and ambitious Embedded Software Developer with a strong understanding of C/C++. My client are an innovative and forward thinking company that offer the opportunity to work on a cutting edge project.

What will you be doing?

• Engineering life cycle, continuous integration & continuous delivery techniques

• Develop C++ software in a real-time embedded systems with strong capabilities in different software development methodologies, tools and compilers.

• Adhere to software development best practices and methodologies

• To successfully deploy and develop software in new systems within Aerospace & Defence

• Work with microcontrollers & microprocessors

What is the ideal candidate?

• Minimum of 3 years C++ proven experience (8 years general development with C++ is also desirable)

• Protocol awareness including, but not limited to I2C, SPI & CAN

• Competent with Linux

• IOT is familiar to you

• Knowledge around Arduino, STM 32, PI Microcontroller & RTOS

• Worked with oscilloscopes & logic analysers previously

• SFIA 4+ is also very desirable to the employer

• Excellent decision making skills with an ability to solve complex issues

• Excellent analytical skills with an ability to communicate effectively, both written and oral

• Act as a team member and mentor using scrum methodology
