The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experience Engineering Manager (Manufacturing) to join our Global Automotive client's Senior Management Team.

  • Responsible for a team of around 10 (direct and indirect) including Process, NPI, Project +toolroom

  • Responsible for new product introductions, capex projects, implementing World Class manufacturing and lean to drive efficiencies and performance improvements and change management projects

  • You will be required to help improve on current and implement new manufacturing systems

  • Responsible for driving change in the business including improvements to floor plans, layouts and improving line efficiencies

  • Provide Quantified direction to the business to improve Safety, Quality, OTD, Productivity and tool utilization

  • Develop a team specific strategy which provides direction to the immediate business and is linked to Vehicle group strategy and plant goals

  • Manage a budget for the Engineering team

  • Lead daily engineering tier process and attend daily plant tier 3 meeting to ensure the operations have the right priorities short term to meet the business needs.

The Person


  • You should be an experienced Engineering Manager with minimum 5 years experience

  • Managing large/diverse teams a high volume, fast paced manufacturing environment

  • Background of plastics in any mould tooling, metal to plastic conversation, materials expertise ect

  • Strong Leader/ Excellent man mangement skills

  • Thorough understanding of financial practices


  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering
