THE ROLE

You will be responsible for full site P&L and strategy reporting into group VP you will assume full control for the manufacturing site.

  • Key responsibilities will be to lead, facilitate and pro-actively drive all activities within the business.

  • You will seek to sustain high levels of delivery to the customer

  • You will be key to promoting best practice and adherence to all HS&E and quality policies and procedures

  • Planning, organizing and managing a diverse team of 250 across the Plant / Site.

  • Responsibility for the overall site P&L

  • To drive team performance to ensure that customer orders are completed in line with customer expectations, to specification

  • Strive in continuous improvement for the full site according to group standards

  • To continuously monitor and guide team performance, identifying development needs and providing solid coaching and mentoring support

  • Developing the team around you and championing best practice where H&S/ lean manufacturing are concerned

  • Communicating effectively with stakeholders in the wider organisation globally

THE PERSON

  • The ideal General Manager will have an Aerospace background

  • Solid man management experience in a senior position within a current Aerospace

  • 5years+ senior management

  • P&L budget responsibility

  • Degree/ engineering qualification is preferable

  • working in complex engineering environments would be preferable

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Track record of leading and developing teams
