GLOBAL SALES DIRECTOR

Due to a restructuring, my client, a leading T1 Automotive business, is looking for a Global Sales Director to create and lead the overall Global strategy,

Please note: Candidates without direct experience in Automotive or Aerospace manufacturing will NOT be considered for the Global Sales Director.

THE ROLE

Directly reporting into the Managing Director, the Global Sales Director will take lead of the Sales team, implementing and rolling out new ideas whilst taking full ownership for the sales strategy.

Key responsibilities of the Global Sales Director:

  • Develop a new Global Sales and Marketing strategy to support growth

  • Develop and maintain commercial procedures to ensure continuous improvement

  • Secure new business opportunities

  • Market research - monitor and evaluate competitor landscape

  • Foresee and avoid stagnation

  • Prepare and make presentations to internal and external management

  • Travel - international and national - to visit customers, manufacturers, professional organisations and industry events

  • Provide leadership to the Business Development team

THE PERSON

The ideal Global Sales Director will have:

  • An Automotive background

  • At least 5 years experience in a similar Sales/Commercial role within the Automotive or Aerospace industry

  • Proven track record of securing new business

  • Track record dealing with highly demanding OE and T1 customers

  • Full UK driving license

  • Ability to travel frequently at the business discretion

DESIRABLE

  • HND/HNC, Commercial/ Technical Degree or equivalent
