Role

Our client is looking to add a career focused Graduated Design Engineer to their talented team.. Reporting to the Head of Engineering and once fully trained, you will take ownership of a number of key Design Projects from cradle to grave. As a design engineer you will be responsible for:

• Management of all design activities from concept through to production validation.
• The robust design of products in accordance with the department procedures
• Investigating design factors such as function, materials, performance, interchangeability, cost, operational efficiency.
• Preparation of Project Engineering data for new product assemblies and components, eg 3D / 2D Drawings, BOM's, Technical Specifications

Person

The Design Engineer will be highly motivated and keen to progress and develop[p themselves. Key criteria;

• Must have minimum 1 year Mechanical design engineering experience
• Must be experienced in Manufacturing or Engineering based environments
• You must possess a sound knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and product design processes.
• It is essential that you have experience designing using 3D CAD (any 3D CAD Package viable, Solidworks, Inventor or Pro Engineer)
• Sheet metal, fabrications, heavy engineered or assembly product design experience would be ideal
