The Role
Reporting to the Ops Manager the Manufacturing Engineer will part of a team responsible for providing Engineering support to the operational team to ensure confrorming and cost effective products are delivered to the customer

  • Provide Engineering advice / guidance by adopting a business partnering approach with the Operations team

  • Interpretation and understanding of technical specifications

  • Reading and converting drawings, models & process specifications into manufacturing instructions

  • Root cause identification and corrective action implementation

  • Maintain configuration control of the Engineering data through the change process

  • Problem solving techniques using recognised business improvement methodology

  • Identification of tooling requirements including costs and lead-time

  • Raising of FAIRs, Concessions and Product permits, DARs, MCRs and other data required to support engineering needs

  • To manage environmental compliance where required in line with procedural and policy requirements

  • Production of Engineering planning routings on to the ERP system

  • Preparation of quotes / estimates for new work form a variety of different customers (where applicable)

The Person

Based out of the Sheffield based office the Manufacturing Engineer will need the following skill set:


  • Manufacturing Engineer background

  • Aerospace or Sheet metal experience

  • Read engineering drawings

  • Must be educated from HND/HNC / time served/ degree

  • Possess proficient PC literacy and IT skills

  • With a high level of motivation/management, planning & organizational skills
