Excellent, Newly created Graduate opportunity!! We are working on a fantastic NEW role for a leading manufacturing business who produce specialist products to a diverse, global customer base (automotive/ Industrial/ aerospace to name a few). They are going through a significant period of investment and as a result, have an exciting new opportunity for a Graduate Project Coordinator to join their business.

The Role

This is a superb opportunity for to join an innovative company with ambitious growth plans. In this diverse role, you will be given full training and support to enable you to coordinate improvement activities in the manufacturing areas of the business. Reporting to the head of site Operations, you will facilitate exciting improvements across the Plant with the support of the wider engineering team, in line with the business strategy. When fully trained, some of the key responsibilities associated to the Graduate Project Coordinator role are:

  • Support and drive a variety of CI tools to drive improvement activities in the manufacturing area which are aimed at removing non-value added processes and waste throughout the Value Stream.
  • Co-ordinate the Plant 'Process Analysis' activities for waste and productivity within the plant and manage measures to meet and exceed agreed targets.
  • Be a proactive facilitator to the manufacturing team and support to the management team by creating structured plans implementing new ideas and improvements in a timely manner.
  • Develop strong and positive working relationships within the manufacturing team and associated functions.

The Person

The ideal Lean Coordinator for this role will possess the following experience;

  • Degree qualified in relevant discipline
  • 6 months+ industry experience within a manufacturing setting
  • Ideally have had exposure to working on Lean/ Continuous Improvement projects
  • Understanding of modern techniques e.g. Kaizan, SMED, 5S etc
  • An excellent communicator
  • Ability to work well within a team
