Graduate Quality Engineer
Manchester / Oldham / Bolton / Huddersfield
Following a period of investment and growth we are looking to recruit a Graduate Quality Engineer to join a multinational manufacturing group. The position will see you join an established team at the groups site based in Greater Manchester.
The objective is to build a career path, starting in quality engineering to then evolve in to other areas of the business.
Reporting to directly to the Manufacturing Plant Manager, the remit of the Graduate Quality Engineer is to provide support across all plant operations.
As The Graduate Quality Engineer you will be responsible for the following:
Be a key driver to ensure the plant achieves best in class performance status in the areas of Safety, Quality, Service and Cost.
Applies Lean and 6 Sigma tools to improve productivity, lower costs and reduce scrap.
Completes Lean-6 Sigma training and training project.
Assistance with Capital Projects (Engineering)
Assists in conducting Operations Management studies through Plant Assessments and Margin Improvement Process (MPI)
Helps develop prioritised improvement action plans, based on assessment findings, which include responsibilities, resources and timing.
Supports plant with implementation of Basic Industrial Engineering techniques (SMED, KPI dashboard, OEE,)
The Graduate Quality Engineer we are looking to recruit should be ambitious and want to progress within a global manufacturing group. Traits we are looking to identify include:

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
Essential: Engineering Degree (electrical or mechanical)
Desirable: Master Degree in Engineering;
Desirable: Masters in Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing Management
