This is an exciting opportunity to work for a renowned Automotive supplier based in the Midlands area with sites throughout the UK and Europe. The business offers a flexible and attractive package, training and development and the opportunity to meet a number of leading customers.

My client is looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to be responsible for the management of all Engineering activities on all manufacturing sites in the UK and Europe including labour, plant and equipment operation and maintenance, financial and administrative duties.

The Role

Reporting to the Managing Director you will be expected to:

  • Responsible for all Engineering activities throughout all European Manufacturing sites

  • Managing European budget

  • Reporting back to Board of Directors

  • Be Responsible for the managment of all operational activities in order to provide the timely delivery of services to a standard which exceeds those as required by the customer.

  • Ensure KPI reportage is undertaken on a timely basis

  • Reporting of Lean KPI's and Productivity measures for all European manufacturing locations

  • Working with HR to deliver staff training and ensure all procedures are adhered to

  • Controlling costs and assesing the profitability of Engineering departments

  • The safe use of plant and equipment

- Risk Assessments and method statements

- All necessary current best practice is available and used

The Person

  • Automotive experience is essential

  • Experience managing a multi site engineering operation

  • Degree Qualified

  • Experience heading up all Engineering departments - including Maintenance, Manufacturing, Process, Quality.
