Group Healthcare Validation Manager

I am recruiting for a Group Healthcare Validation Manager to join a global Healthcare and Consumer Goods manufacturing company. The role is offering a competitive salary, bonus, car + benefits. The role ideally is based in Manchester but can be based remotely if required.

The role is reporting directly into the Vice President of Engineering who is based in the UK. This role is a European role; however the person would be based in the UK. There would be approximately 30% travel required across sites in UK, Italy, France and Germany with a possibility of international travel

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Effective engagement of all sites to ensure that risk of contamination incidents are minimised

  • Ensuring contribution of company targets by reducing quality failures due to microbiological contamination

  • Lead investigations and action planning for customer complaints due to microbiological contamination

  • Work in Quality & TPM to reduce the Cost of Non Quality

  • Develop and implement process control systems to support manufacture of products to meet customer requirements

  • Contribute business ideas for continuous improvement in SHE in the European Supply Chain

  • Implement audit regime of the sites to ensure effective risk mitigation plans are maintained

  • Partner with R&D and Engineering to ensure that new product innovations are assessed effectively with regards to hygienic design integrity

  • Ensuring to keep up with external trends in hygienic manufacturing and identify new insights that you can bring into the business that will add value

  • Contribute to assessment of capital investment proposals for Healthcare sites

Requirements

  • Degree level qualified in Life Sciences or Engineering related field

  • Extensive experience of working within a pharmaceutical, medical device, Biotechnology or Consumer Goods manufacturing environment

  • Ability to travel between European sites approximately up to 30% of the time

  • Strong project management skills

  • Experience to assess, development and implement micro risk management strategies within manufacturing or operations

  • Ability to trouble shoot issues with products and processes to establish root cause and implement solutions
