Group Health and Safety Manager
I am recruiting for a Group HSE Manager role to join a global Science and Chemical company based in Cambridge. My client is offering a competitive salary and fantastic benefits. Duties and Responsibilities
Advise all management team on all aspects of Health, Safety and Environment
Collate accident and incident data and report trends to allow management to focus on key areas.
Lead EHS audits both internally and externally. Participate in the site EHS inspections and tours
Take a leading role in the development and implementation of Behavioural Based Safety Programmes and initiatives
Develop/maintain an appropriate industrial/occupational hygiene monitoring programme
Investigate site accidents and incidents ensuring corrective actions are appropriate
Review contractor risk assessments and method statements and advise project leaders
Provide support for the identification and assessments of EHS CAPEX requirements
Reinforce and strengthen the HSE culture at every opportunity within operations and projects
Develop and implement robust procedures to ensure facilities are fully compliant
Assist in assignment of chemical intermediates and Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients to control bands liaising with Group/Divisional Toxicology or third-party experts as appropriate
NEBOSH Diploma, BOHS or IOSH Membership
BSc or equivalent in Chemistry or related subject
Experience of working within the Pharmaceutical industry is highly desirable. Other industries of interest are Chemicals or Biotechnology
Experience of process safety and pharmaceutical APIs would be highly desirable
